I live in a rural area in Idaho, and it took about 10 days for delivery after the item was shipped from Pennsylvania. It arrived in an enormous box that weighed 275 lbs according to the delivery truck driver and to the shipping documents. I bribed the driver to help me get this enormous and heavy box down a difficult stairway to my basement where it was to be set up.

The box had some external crushing but nothing major for such a huge and heavy box. As instructed, I used a box kn .... Read more

Greg Borax Rating: 1 Stars out of 5Do not buy this if you are taller than 5'10"
I spent a lot of time reviewing this product before I purchased it. I only wish I could have tried it out in person. I am just too tall for it. At 6'2" it seems that I'm about 4 or 5 inches too tall to comfortably use this product. That is the only bad thing I can say about it. All other good information provided about this product seems to be true. It's well constructed and relatively easy to put together. I suggest a lot of patience and read the instructions 2 or 3 times before actually .... Read more

I have been researching home ellipticals for a while now. I was spoiled with the LifeFitness machines (20 inch stride) at the gym and I know many home ellipticals fall short - they feel shaky, flimsy, the stride is short... I had read great things about Sole machines and went to a local store to try them out.

They had the e95, e35, and e25 in new 2009 models as well as an old (2008) e55 being sold as a floor model. I had originally thought I wanted the e55 but the new e35 is actu .... Read more

One of the only elliptical machines to feature a full warranty and powered incline at this price. If you haven't purchased one yet, you should. We just had this delivered over the weekend. The assembly was easy and went together quick. It is an awesome looking machine! .... Read more

 Overview

Enjoy an efficient full-body workout without heading to the gym with the Sole E95 elliptical trainer. Boasting a heavy 30-pound flywheel, a high gear ratio not found on most comparable models, and a pair of upper body handles, the E95 delivers an extremely smooth workout with plenty of top-end resistance. Users will also appreciate the unique oversize and adjustable foot pedals, which were designed in collaboration with a leading physical therapist and sports enthusiast. The pedals are not only extra large, but also feature a 2-degree inward slope that reduces the ankle and knee stress that’s common in other elliptical machines. The collaboration also produced a revolutionary foot pedal angle adjustment not found on any other elliptical. Taking into account that not everyone walks the same way, Sole engineers made the E95’s pedals adjustable to fit the way you walk. This also reduces the likelihood of numb toes and sore Achilles tendons.
Workout specifics include 20 resistance levels, 10 total programs (including two custom and two heart-rate programs), and a 20-inch stride length. Perhaps the handiest feature from a user perspective, however, is the easy-to-use electronic console, which integrates a red/green display, a cooling fan, and a water bottle holder. Additional features include stationary handlebars with built-in pulse sensors for monitoring your heart rate; a heart rate chest strap for hands-free pulse monitoring; heavy-duty rails with smooth-riding wheels on the back; and a rear plastic shroud that adds additional stability for aggressive use. The E95, which offers a maximum weight capacity of 400 pounds, carries the following warranties: lifetime on the frame, five years on all parts and electronics, and two years on the labor.

Review

Sylvester D. Rajasekaran Rating: 5 Stars out of 5Very good strides and end good engineering!
I bought this from Amazon on 2008 Christmas time and it took just 2 '/2 hours to install it without any issues.

The Schwinn 430 is really an amazing machine better than my previous one (even that one was good as well) surely Schwinn designers and engineered to it's capacity and have proved it to be good in many aspects from mechanical to electronics.

I like the touch screen panel and all the materials was worth every penny. So if you think it's cost too much, no not at .... Read more

Jazzy J Rating: 5 Stars out of 5Nice.
I purchased my Schwinn 430 Variable Stride Elliptical a couple months ago, and it is one nice machine. Explaining to a visiting friend how it works, he couldn't understand how it adjusts to your stride without some sort of adjustment to the machine, so I simply stepped on and showed him. It's truly that simple, you stride longer and the elliptical keeps up, shorten your stride and it adjusts. It's a brilliant little piece of design and engineering.

On the practical side, it's not .... Read more

I love my recent purchase of the Schwinn variable stride elliptical. It was fairly simple to assemble and has allowed a short legged person ease in transferring my exercise regime from a treadmill to an elliptical. I work up a great sweat and heart rate in 25 minutes without any back or knee pain. I highly recommend it. I am also a physical therapist by trade so it is nice to see what I can recommend to my clients .... Read more

N. Nelson Rating: 2 Stars out of 5Not as expected--think Gazelle for 1000 dollars
This piece of equipment is well built and sturdy. the screen is fine and has good programs to choose from. The big downside is that I purchased this expecting the arms and legs to be attached to the resistance flywheel but they aren't. Meaning the way these are build is that the pedals have an arched CAM and as you pedal forward in a small adjustable radius you are basically pedaling a bike while standing. then as you increase the radius-(elliptical stride) the pedals then float out further from .... Art Fritzson Rating: 3 Stars out of 5Brilliant execution, disappointing concept
This is a difficult review to write because I really wanted to like this machine - there are so many good things about it. The construction is awesome, consisting of heavily overbuilt steel tubing with bronze and steel bearings on all moving parts (way outclassing any machine in its prices point), it's well engineered, everything fits well and works smoothly, it's rock solid in operation, etc. This is really a well engineered and well executed machine.

The problem I have with it is .... Read more

Sole E25 Elliptical Trainer Review

 Overview

The Sole E25 elliptical creates a fluid natural motion provided by a whisper-quiet ECB drive system. Its 20-in stride length is ideal for areas with limited floor space, and the adjustable, articulating pedals provide multiple workout options. You can work up a sweat to your favorite tunes thanks to the built-in sound system, and keep track of your progress with the blue back lit LCD display.

S. Lambert Rating: 5 Stars out of 5Great machine for the price
I've had this elliptical for a month. Between my husband and me, we use this machine 8-10 times a week. I will update this review if my opinion changes.

This is a GREAT machine for the price. A Life Fitness was out of my price range, and research showed that this was a great "budget" model so this is the one I went with.

Pros:
- 20" stride. My husband and I are both tall and 18" machines don't feel right.

T. Mattson Rating: 4 Stars out of 5Lacking Features
It's a very well built and sturdy machine but the console is lacking features. The display program it uses feels like it's out of the 90's.
The fan it uses barely moves any air, it's like a little 100mm fan from a computer case or something.

Good machine if you want a nice workout but don't expect any wonders from the display
